Following up on the award-winning Fantasy Games:  The 100 Best, Green Ronin Publishing now focuses on the best family games in Family Games:  The 100 Best.

Featuring a forward by game legend Mike Gray, the book includes 100 essays written by a hundred of the most famous game designers and publishers.  Editor James Lowder challenged each writer to explore his or her choice for the most enjoyable and well-designed family game of the last hundred years.  The games chosen include well-known favorites and obscure titles:  card games, board games, miniatures games, and even role-playing games.

Some of the essayists included are Alan R. Moon, Richard Garfield, Leo Colovini, Tom Wham, James Ernest, Ian Livingstone, Steve Jackson, James Ward, David “Zeb” Cook, Ed Greenwood, Matt Forbeck, and Robin Laws, among dozens of others.

The book concludes with an afterword written by actor-author Wil Wheaton.

Family Games:  The 100 Best will begin shipping in the next few days, with a scheduled March 22 release date.  It will have a suggested retail price of $24.95.  400 pages, trade paperback.
