Fantasy Flight Games has announced the June release of expansions for three of its LCGs (Living Card Games), A Game of Thrones LCG: Return of the Others, Warhammer Invasion LCG: Burning of Dericksburg, and Call of Cthulhu LCG: Spoken Covenant.  LCGs differ from CCGs (collectible card games) in that players know precisely what they are buying, there is no blind packaging or chasing after rare and powerful cards.

The A Game of Thrones LCG: Return of the Others Chapter Pack (MSRP $9.95) is the sixth installment in the Defenders of the North Expansion.  The 40-card pack contains 20 cards, which have never been seen before. It is designed to augment existing decks and add variety to the A Game of Thrones metagame.

The Warhammer Invasion LCG: Burning of Dericksburg (MSRP $14.95) is the first Battle Pack installment in The Enemy Cycle, which explicitly explores the seething hostility between the various factions in the Warhammer world, allowing Dwarves to face off against Orcs, High Elves to go against Dark Elves, and of course the forces of Empire to take on the agents of Chaos.  The Battle of Dericksburg is a 60-card pack that contains 20 all-new cards and introduces new traits such as “disease” for Chaos that allow for whole new strategies.  The Battle of Dericksburg is FFG’s first Warhammer Invasion Battlepack to adopt the new collation format, so players will receive three copies each of the 20 new cards in the 60-card pack.

Call of Cthulhu LCG: Spoken Covenant (MSRP $14.95) is a fixed 60-card Asylum Pack that contains 20 all-new cards designed to augment existing decks and add variety to the game.  Also included in this cycle is “Part Three” of a gripping new short story by Nate French that is set in the Cthulhu mythos.
