Michael Boze of HawgHead Comics in Fort Smith, Arkansas has been following the discussion on WotC Premier Stores and shares his thoughts.
I am/was a Premier Store since the program began simply because I ran tournaments. I ran tournaments every Saturday without fail for years until the market changed and the player's desires changed. I went from weekly tournaments, to every other week tournaments and finally to once a month tournaments. All of this was due to an average turnout of 1 or 2 players.
I was cut from the WPN program on April 1st as was many others. I accept this because it was my own fault for not paying more attention to the emails and letters. I will also do what is necessary to regain my WPN Premier Store status.
My biggest complaint is that the new rules do not apply evenly, and no I am not even going to go to the subject of Wal-Mart or Target and WOC product, but I want something done to the ebay stores and Internet stores. If my failure to run tournaments hurts the game and the WOC/Hasbro company, then how much worse is the retailers who sell the product at 60% of retail.
Just my two cents worth.
