Z-Man Games has released details on two games planned for release over the next few months: Grimoire and Wok Star. Grimoire is planned for release in May. Wok Star is expected this summer.

 

Grimoire is a game of spell-casting and questing. Players must use their “Grimoire,” or book of spells, to claim “Quest cards” which reward them with items and companions. Successful strategy requires balancing spell power and speed. For two to four players. Designed by Hayato Kisaragi. 

 

Wok Star is a cooperative, real-time game that simulates the chaos of running a Chinese restaurant. Players must work together to satisfy customers before the timer runs out as they try to earn enough cash to repay the restaurant’s loans. Dice are rolled and shared simultaneously by the players to provide the ingredients needed to prepare the dishes, but too many unsatisfied customers will cause the players to lose the game. Designed by Tim Fowers.
