Fantasy Flight Games joins the growing deckbuilding game category this July with the release of Rune Age. Set in the same fantasy world as their other popular games Runebound, Runewars, and Descent, the new stand-alone card game combines the deck-building mechanic of Dominion with a scenario-based format.

 

Each player represents a race struggling for dominance in the world of Terrinoth, each with unique strengths and weaknesses. The challenges the players face are determined by a scenario, chosen before each game. The scenarios present unique objectives and challenges for the players, and can range from fully competitive to fully cooperative, allowing for a variety of game styles.

 

Rune Age is for two to four players. It includes more than 250 cards, tokens, and a custom six-sided die. Designed by Corey Konieczka. Suggested retail price: $34.95.
