Mayfair Games will release its new pyramid-building game Giza: The Great Pyramid in January 2012.  Giza is the first published design by David Heberer.

In the game, players assume the role of Egyptian taskmasters charged with completing Pharaoh’s pyramid before his death.  A “worker assignment” type game, players must balance food production and pyramid construction to complete the project in time, while competing with the other players to contribute the largest share of artwork and masonry to the final pyramid.

Giza: The Great Pyramid will include a nine-piece plastic pyramid model in addition to over 200 other playing pieces.  Designed for three or four players, Giza plays in about an hour and a half and will have a suggested retail price of $35.00.
