Out of the Box Publishing has announced new expansions for two of its core family games: Faux-Cabulary and Word on the Street.
In the award-winning Word on the Street (two to eight players 12 and up), a category card is turned over and players race against time to pull letters one lane closer to them and off the board to form as many word as possible fitting the category. Word tiles moved off the board are scored by the players. The first player or team to score eight tiles wins.
Word on the Street will see a new expansion in March, which will add 432 new categories to the game as well as an additional cardholder and timer. The expansion will retail for $15.99.
Faux-Cabulary (three to seven players ages 13 and up) is a party game that challenges players to create wild words for unusual definitions but for which no real definition exists. Players draw three Word Cubes and create their word in secret. Each turn, a player takes the role of “Wordmeister” and votes for the best zany word that best fits the definition.
Faux-Cabulary expansions 1 and 2 will release in April and each will include 12 new word cubes and 120 new definitions, allowing for over nine million new word combinations. Both expansions will retail for $15.99.
