Konami Digital Entertainment has announced a Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series event that will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois on April 28th and 29th.  Duelists who register for the event will receive five Order of Chaos booster packs for participating.  Depending on attendance, either 16 or 32 duelists will earn invitations to participate in the 2012 World Championship Qualifier.

 

Konami will also hold “Dragon Duel” events for duelists born in 1999 or later.  The top four finishers in the Dragon Duel competition will receive a special Dragon’s Duel Champion’s Medal, a 2012 Regional Game Mat, a Dragon Duel t-shirt, and an invitation to the 2012 Dragon Duel World Championship Qualifier, where they could possibly earn an invitation to the inaugural Dragon Duel World Championship Event, which will be held in conjunction with the YGO World Championships in Tokyo on August 11th and 12th.

 

Given the attendance spike at recent YGO Championship Series Events (see "YGO Championship Series Event Sets Record"), Konami is attempting to get duelists to register early at the Convention Center on Friday from 3pm to 7pm.  Duelists who register on Friday and submit a deck list will receive a series-exclusive “YCS Token Card.”
