ICv2 has learned that Asmodee plans a November release for Dixit Jinx, a new party game from the Dixit family of games.  The humor-inducing social game features semi-abstract renderings and the Active Player picks (via a locator map) one card out of 9 that are displayed in a 3x3 square and then has to speak, sing, or act out something that describes or recalls the image on the selected card.

 

Once another player has selected the right card the turn ends, and the player who guessed correctly gets to keep the card and its victory points.  Players who select the wrong card have to give a card to the active player.  If two players simultaneously select the same card, it is crucial to be the first one who calls out "jinx."

 

Dixit Jinx, which takes just 10 minutes to play, is an archetypal party game that works best with five or more players, though it can be played by from 3-6.
