Z-Man Games has announced plans to release two new board games:  Bruges and Targi.  Z-Man will debut Bruges at Origins, and release the game into distribution starting in late July.  A release date for Targi has not yet been announced.

Bruges was originally released under the name Brugge by the German game publisher Hans im Gluck Verlags.  Created by the veteran game designer Stefan Feld, Bruges is set in 15th Century Belgium.  The game is played using a deck of “character cards,” each of which can be used to perform a number of different color-coded actions.

Targi is a two-player game by Andreas Steiger that focuses on the competition between the Tuareg tribes of the Sahara.  When tribes meet during their wanderings, they trade, and control of this trade is the key to the game.  Targi uses a tableau of cards to represent the goods of the tribes and their opportunities to trade.  It was released in 2012 as part of Kosmos’ venerable two-player game line.
