Z-Man Games has announced the Origins debut of Black Spy, a trick-taking card game from Alan Moon that received rave reviews at the Gathering of Friends in April.  But this game is not just another version of Bridge. Moon, who designed the popular Ticket to Ride games, has added a level of intrigue to the game to keep things interesting.

Black Spy is a sort of film noir take on Hearts.  Players have to enlist the best spies in order to get what they want, but the black spies are essentially double operatives who will switch sides and turn on their employers at the drop of a hat.  A certain amount of sang froid will be required to navigate the pitfalls of this intrigue-filled card game.

Designed for 2-6 players, ages 10 and up, Black Spy involves a series of rounds and ends when one player reaches 200 or more points at the end of a round, at which time the player with the lowest score is designated the winner.
