Mayfair Games will begin U.S. distribution of Lookout Games title Karnickel--a light-hearted game of carrot-collecting rabbits--in November.
In Karnickel, the players are rabbits trying to collect carrots from a carrot patch located perilously close to the train tracks. Rabbits try to locate the best patches, but must also avoid in-coming trains if they hope to collect their carrots. Movement is controlled by a pool of dice, shared by the players, which determines which rabbits move. If all dice rolled result in “trains”, the train rolls down the track and the rabbits have to dodge out of the way.
The game was designed by Brett J. Gilbert (who also designed Divinare), and features cartoony illustrations by Klemens Franz (who also illustrated Agricola and Le Havre). The suggested retail price will be $20.00.
Mayfair will also begin distributing Uwe Rosenberg’s Caverna and Robert Auerochs’ Bremerhaven, two other Lookout titles, also starting in November (see "Mayfair to Distribute 'Caverna'" and "Lookout Games' 'Bremerhaven'").
