Alderac Entertainment Group will release the Ivory Edition for the Legend of the Five Rings Collectible Card Game in February. The company also announced that the release date for A Matter of Honor, the latest Learn to Play set for the L5R CCG, has been moved up from December 30 to December 18th.
The Ivory Edition, which consists of both starters and boosters, will contain 372 cards, with a breakdown of 112 common, 112 uncommon, 112 rare, 36 fixed, and 27 premium cards. The starter decks (one each for nine clans) consist of 81 cards (including 10 Ivory Edition legal rares), and will include 1 Imperial Favor card, 2 Player Aide cards, 3 Ivory Edition booster packs, 1 clan fiction, and both a basic and advanced rulebook. MSRP is $19.99. The boosters contain 16 cards (packed 36 to a display) and contain 10 common, 4 uncommon, 1 rare and 1 premium card each. MSRP is $3.99.
The Legend of the 5 Rings: Embers of War set won the Origins Award for Best Collectible Card Games this summer (see "Origins Awards Winners").
Alderac is also releasing a special L5R version of Seiji Kanai’s popular card game, Love Letter, in February.(see "'Love Letter: Legend of the Five Rings'").
