Mayfair Games has announced plans to release the expansion Lords of Vegas: Up! for their casino-building board game in February.
Lords of Vegas, designed by James Ernest and Mike Selinker, was released at Gen Con 2010 (see "'Lords of Vegas'") and was nominated for the Best Board Game Origins Award in 2011. This expansion (which does require the base game to play) is a two-in one extension, as it not only allows for 5-6 players, it also allows players to expand their hotels – not only out into surrounding real estate, but also up by adding additional floors. The new taller hotels are more prestigious, and as such, are worth more Victory Points.
The box contains two new player colors (12 dice, 10 player markers, and one scoring chip for each), 48 casino floor tiles, a pack of money and rules. The games is for 2 -6 players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 60 -90 minutes. MSRP is $25.00.
