Out of the Box Publishing has announced plans to release two stand-alone expansions for their Old West Snake Oil card game: Snake Oil: Elixir and Snake Oil: Party Potion.
 
Snake Oil: Elixir can be played as an independent game, or combined with another Snake Oil edition.  Game play is the same as the original party game, with players attempting to pitch ridiculous products (based on combinations of randomly drawn word cards) to earn ‘customer’ cards from other players.  The only difference, other than new cards, is that this edition is recommended for 3 - 8 players versus the 3 - 10 players supported by the original Snake Oil.  The game is recommended for players 10 and up and plays in about 20 - 30 minutes.  MSRP is $19.95.  Release date has not been announced.
 
Snake Oil: Party Potion is also an autonomous version of Snake Oil, with new content formulated for younger players, ages 8 and up, verses the original’s 10 and up recommendations.  The game can be played by itself, or combined with another edition of Snake Oil.  This version also differs in the number of players it supports, listing only 3 - 6 players, versus the 3 – 10 players of the original.  The game plays in 20 - 30 minutes, and has an MSRP of $11.99.  Release date was not announced.
