Efforts to negotiate a settlement in the lawsuit over Dungeons & Dragons movie rights have failed and the case is moving to trial, according to the minutes of a conference in the case. There had been several requests for delays by the parties as they negotiated (see "'D&D' Trial Set for July 1"), but there will be no more; the minutes included the all-caps notice that there would be "no further requests for continuance."
Trial date was set for September 16th.
The case is attempting to resolve conflicting rights to the property: licensee Sweetpea wants to make a D&D movie with Warner Bros., and Hasbro has plans to make a D&D movie with Universal.
