ICv2 spoke with Ascension game designer and Stone Blade's CEO Justin Gary about the Ascension: Year One Collector’s Edition at last week’s Gen Con. This deluxe set is scheduled to ship in late November, just in time for the holidays.
Gary describes the set as a "premium experience for Ascension fans." The set includes all of the cards from the first year of the game, including Chronicle of the Godslayer, Return of the Fallen, and all promo cards offered in the first year. It will also include what Gary describes as "really cool over-sized honor tokens and a nice style board."
Altogether, the Year One Collector’s Edition will include 322 cards, all with a premium foil finish. It can be played on its own or combined with any of the other Ascension expansions. The suggested retail price will be $99.99.
