On October 7th, Nintendo's F-Zero will begin its career in television.  According to Game Spy Daily, the F-Zero anime, entitled F-Zero:  Falcon Densetsu (or Legend of the Falcon) will air in Tokyo starting in October.

Nintendo will work with Bandai on producing toys based on the show, and plans for publisher Shogakukan -- part owners of Viz and the company responsible for the Pokemon comics -- to begin work on a manga.

F-Zero characters Captain Falcon, Dr. Stewart, and Samurai Goro will co-star with some new characters in the anime.  The cartoon will feature 3D racing scenes as well as 2D character animation, with Nintendo promising 'a fresh take on the F-Zero universe.'
