Decipher's next installment of the Lord of the Rings CCG base set will be on sale worldwide on November 5th, over a full month prior to the December 17th premiere of the final film chapter of the Peter Jackson trilogy, The Return of the King.  The Return of the King TCG base set contains 365 new cards for new characters, sites, and themes, as well as new gameplay mechanics such as 'Threats' and 'Initiative.' 

The card base contains 121 rare cards, 121 uncommon cards, 121 common cards, and two starter-only premium cards.  The 63-card starter decks, at $10.99 MSRP, will be available in two versions:  Eomer and Aragorn, with each deck containing three random rare cards, two premium cards, and a rulebook.  The eleven-card booster packs each will include one rare and a mixture of common and uncommon cards, with foil cards being found in roughly one out of every six packs at $3.99 MSRP.  As with previous LOTR cards, all the cards in The Return of the King will receive a foil treatment in a parallel set.

Special release day organized play events are planned, with a special Release Day card for players who participate in the events.
