To Coordinate with DVD Release

Wizards of the Coast announced at the recent GAMA Trade Show that it is delaying the release of its upcoming Star Wars Collectable Miniatures Game from August until September, to coordinate its release with the release of the original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD September 21st (see 'Star Wars Trilogy Out on DVD in September').
Since the Star Wars CMG will feature the characters, creatures, robots, and vehicles from the first trilogy (see 'Wizards to Do Star Wars CMG'), the connection between the two releases is a strong one. And the marketing blitz associated with the Star Wars Trilogy DVD release will bring the property into the public eye just in time for the game release. Stronger sales should result. MORE SHOWBIZ
