Palladium Games has licensed its science fiction roleplaying game RIFTS to Nokia for the Finnish company's N-Gage game-playing system for cellular phones. The RIFTS are tears in the fabric of time and space that create portals to other worlds from which the magical and monstrous can invade our planet, creating an earth where science battles against magic, intergalactic invaders and the supernatural. The RIFTS telephone game should be operational by the summer of 2005. Meanwhile Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer is developing RIFTS for a major motion picture (see 'RIFTS Movie Has Screenwriter').
