Attendance at the second Southern California GenCon, held last weekend in Anaheim, was up 20-25%, according to preliminary numbers from GenCon owner Peter Adkison.  Attendance was light for the first two days, causing some concerns among exhibitors.  But traffic picked up late Friday and was up drastically over the weekend.  Attendance last year was around 5,000 (see 'GenCon SoCal Attracts Almost 5k')

This is the latest in a string of pop culture shows with record attendance this year, including the San Diego Comic-Con (see 'San Diego Attendance Up 24%') and GenCon Indy (see 'GenCon Sets Records in Second Indy Show').
