In addition to Mutant X (see 'Mutant in the Middle'), Tribune Entertainment has other pilots for TV series in genres that are of interest to pop culture retailers. One of Tribune's new projects is MechWarriors, which is based on Microsoft's science fiction game, Battletech (which Microsoft acquired from FASA). So far Tribune Entertainment has just given a green light for the creation of a pilot episode for the MechWarriors series, but it is encouraging that Tribune Entertainment, one of the last major players in syndication, is opting for a science fiction show. The company has also reportedly ordered a pilot for Pendragon, an Arthurian series, which if it is successful, might also spin off product of interest to pop culture retailers.
