Jim Crocker of Modern Myths in Northampton, Massachusetts saw our article on White Wolf's new distributors (see 'White Wolf Adds New Game Distributors'), and wants to know why there isn't one in the Northeast:

After reading your article on how White Wolf is planning to 'expand' their distribution (it would be more accurate to say they are replacing their distribution that's gone under), I couldn't help but be frustrated, as I have for years now, that White Wolf doesn't seem to care that they have no local distribution in the Northeast.

Centurion Hobby is a well-established and very professional distributor who serves the Northeast.  They're the ONLY hobby distributor who offers one-day shipping to us here in Massachussetts, as well as the one with the best online ordering and inventory options.  If I had the choice, I'd probably not bother with other distributors.  But to run a good game store, I need to carry White Wolf, which my customers expect.  That means I need to do orders twice a week with another distributor, NOT my distributor of choice, to get this one product line.  As a result, I do not push White Wolf products, and I only reorder when there's enough new product to justify that separate order, resulting in lower sales for all of us.

With this recent move, White Wolf added regional distributors of a size comparable to Centurion for the South and Northwest.  They already have strong distribution from the (two remaining) major nationals in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and California areas.  It's well past time to show some love for the Northeast.
