Wizards of the Coast has decided to utilize two different agencies to lead public relations efforts for its two flagship brands, Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering.  Up until now WotC had used just one PR firm to cover all of its brands, but the split should allow the two selected public relations companies to specialize in the two very different gaming categories, role-playing games and trading card games.

New York-based Hunter Public Relations will be the agency of record for Dungeons & Dragons, the original roleplaying game and will also manage PR affairs for the closely related Wizards of the Coast Book Publishing division, which has published numerous fantasy bestsellers relating to the worlds and settings created for the D& D game.

The Los Angeles-based Bohle Company will handle the PR chores for both Magic: The Gathering, the original trading card game, and Magic Online, the Web-based version of the popular Magic: The Gathering TCG.
