Further proof of tough times in the hobby games market was provided by Marc Lore, the COO of WizKids, in a cryptic announcement on the company Website announcing a 'reorganization,' which includes 'a tough decision to have a reduction in force...necessary to realign overheads with revenues.' The extent of the layoffs and the other elements of the reorganization should become clear over the next few weeks.

Lore also stated that the company would be refocusing on its core brands, which include the new Battlestar Galactica CCG, the HeroClix, HorrorClix, and MechWarrior CMGs, and the Pirates CSGs.  WizKids, which reported lower sales in the most recent financials from parent company Topps (see 'WizKids' Sales Decline'), has already dropped support for the High Stakes Drifter card game.
