Joshua Dunham of Gamescape North in San Rafael, California, saw the letter from a retailer looking for Christian-friendly games (see 'Chris Hunter of Funhouse Games and More on Christian Games') and suggests two specific games:
Now these two games are not directly Christian-related but they do promote the 'work together' attitude. The games are:
1) Lord of the Rings by Fantasy Flight Games--This is a great game from a great game designer, Reiner Knizia. The fantastic thing about the game is that the players all work together. They play one of the hobbits of the fellowship and follow the path to Mordor to destroy the ring. It's a great game for getting a small group of players to work together. It's also spawned multiple expansions, if you think the base game is too simple (which it's not!).
2) Shadows over Camelot by Days of Wonder--Another great cooperative game, but this time the players are Knights of the Round Table trying to keep the 'shadows' from overtaking Camelot. It's a very well-designed game, with beautiful pieces and great game mechanics. It is so good that it's already won multiple awards! There is the addition of the possibility of a traitor in the midst of the knights, but if you don't like what that adds to game you can just play without it.
I hope these give Chris Hunter at Funhouse Games & More some ideas for his store.
