ICv2 CEO Milton Griepp revealed dramatic changes in the comics and graphic novel market, some upsetting decades-long elements of the status quo, in his presentation of the ICv2 White Paper – State of the Comics Market in North America at the ICv2 Insider Talks 2019 on Monday (see “Final Schedule and Speaker Roster – ICv2 Insider Talks 2019”). Among the revelations was the news that comic stores are no longer the largest channel for comics and graphic novel sales, and that superheroes are no longer the largest content category.
