Image Comics, which nearly hit a double digit share in comic stores for October (see "Comics Market Starts Q4 Strong"), crossed that threshold in November with a 10.62% market share, according to information released by Diamond Comic Distributors. A new volume of The Walking Dead (Vol. 22) and a new $49.99 collection of Saga, which took the #1 and #3 slots, respectively, on the Top Ten Graphic Novels chart for the month, were the strongest titles from the publisher.

On the comic chart, Amazing Spider-Man #9, the first title in Marvel’s Spider-verse event (see "Marvel Announces Spider-Verse," "Teams, Covers for 'Edge of Spider-Verse'") took the #1 slot, and the first issue of the new Captain America (see "Marvel Launching New 'Cap' Series") was #2 in an overall strong month for Marvel, which dominated the Top 10 with eight titles vs. DC’s two.

November continued the strong Q4 begun last month with 8.36% growth in comics and graphic novels over the year ago period. That was composed of 5.47% growth in periodical comics and a very strong 14.44% jump in graphic novel sales over November 2013.
Year-to-date growth has increased to 4.52% over the first 11 months of 2013, via 3.8% growth in comics and 6.16% growth in graphic novels.
