Pokemon accounted for the top three most active products, four of the top five, and 12 of the top 25, with big price increases driving volume. This is the best showing for Pokemon since we started running the Top 25 Sealed charts (see "TCGplayer Top 25 Sealed TCG Products – December 2020"). Magic: The Gathering took eight slots; Yu-Gi-Oh! four, and Dragon Ball Super one.
The Pokemon XY Evolutions Booster Box, which came out in 2016, had the biggest price move, nearly doubling from $459.90 to $889.90.
This chart is based on sales on the TCGplayer platform, the largest marketplace in the U.S. for collectible card games including Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and other card games and supplies. TCGplayer provides inventory management and fulfillment services to retailers.
