Variety reports that Lorenzo di Bonaventura, former Warner Bros. exec and manager of The Matrix, Harry Potter, Scooby-Doo, and Batman film franchises, has been 'recruited' by Hasbro to head a movie deal for G.I. Joe.  Di Bonaventura is currently producing the film Constantine, based on DC-Vertigo's Hellblazer (see 'Hellblazer Movie Back on Track').  That film, starring Keanu Reaves, has just started shooting.

Di Bonaventura has secured the G.I. Joe rights from Hasbro, and will pitch his ideas on how to bring the 39-year-old soldier to the world of live action to studios beginning this week.
