Topps has aggressively and creatively marketed its Garbage Pail Kids trading cards and stickers (see 'Major Support for Topps GPK Re-Launch') and is continuing to do so.  The company launched an interactive online 'Build-Your-Own Garbage Pail Kid Contest' on Monday, October 20th and is advertising it on Nick.com, the Nickelodeon Website.

The contest, at Garbagepailkidsworld.com, allows participants to create their own GPKs and vote for the grossest. The winner will receive an original, framed painting of his creation by one of the GPK artists, as well as having his/her creation appear on a future sticker. Other winners will receive boxes of stickers.

The most recent series of GPK's stickers is currently in its third re-printing, with a new series being developed for release early next year.
