A definitive agreement has been signed between Children's Place Retail Stores and Disney for the purchase of 313 Disney stores in the U.S. and Canada.  The letter of intent was signed in August (see 'Children's Place Signs LOI for Disney Stores'). 

 

Children's Place will spend up to $100 million renovating the stores, and will continue to sell Disney merchandise under a licensing agreement.   

 

It has been over a year since Disney announced plans to get out of retail.  It still has over 100 stores outside of North America.
