McFarlane Toys has been awarded the license to produce action figures based on the hit ABC series Lost.  Lost Series 1 will launch 'late fall' 2006, and will include six 6' figures depicting characters from the series first season:  Jack, Kate, Locke, Hurley, Charlie, and Shannon. 

Each figure will include a photographic backdrop, a detailed base, and a prop replica related to the character.  For example, the Kate figure will include a replica of the toy airplane that's featured in her backstory. 

Lost deluxe boxed sets, which will re-create key moments between multiple characters and small scale dioramas, are also planned.  The island and the hatch are among the locations that are planned for depiction in dioramas.
