The acquisition of the Star Trek memorabilia makes perfect sense for Diamond Select Toys, which nabbed the license for Star Trek action figures and toys in 2005 (see 'Diamond Select Gets Star Trek'). DST plans to display the items at several conventions and trade shows in the coming months, and is also planning a special promotion involving the items; but don't be surprised if a number of these Star Trek items end up in Geppi's Entertainment Museum (see 'Overwhelming').
