The pay cable/satellite channel Starz Edge is instituting an Animidnight anime block on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning that will air top anime movies and series including GIS: Solid State Society, FMA: Conqueror of Shamballa, Hellsing Ultimate, Black Lagoon and Desert Punk. Starz' Animidnight block debuts at midnight on Tuesday, November 6th with Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society (from Manga Entertainment). A week later Starz Edge will offer Full Metal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa, and on November 20th, the first two episodes of the 24-episode Desert Punk anime series (both the FMA movie and the Desert Punk series are from FUNimation).
The Animidnight block, which will shift to Monday night/Tuesday early morning on January 29th, will continue showing two episodes of Desert Punk per week through Monday, February 4th. On Monday February 11th Starz Edge will present the first of four Hellsing Ultimate episodes and then on March 10th the first two installments of the action-packed 24-episode Black Lagoon anime series (both Hellsing Ultimate and Black Lagoon were released in the
