Ryan Reynolds has been selected for the role of Green Lantern in the Warner Bros. film, according to the Hollywood trades.  He was selected after a run-off with Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto, with Justin Timberlake also involved (see “Three Options for Green Lantern”).

Reynolds played Deadpool in X-Men Origins:  Wolverine, and is slated to reprise the role in a spin-off flick.
