Variety is reporting that Fremantle Media (American Idol, Family Feud) has signed a "first look" deal with Virgin Comics successor, Liquid Comics.  Fremantle hopes to be able to place Liquid Comics properties in a number of different media.

According to Variety, the first two Liquid Comics properties that Fremantle is working on are Ani-Max, the story of a kid who can absorb the ability of any animal he touches, which is being prepped as an animated TV series, and First Family, a saga about the teenage children of an American President who discover that high school is the ultimate political arena.  Variety is reporting that Ani-Max and First Family, which were created by Liquid Comics co-founders Gotham Chopra and Sharad Devarajan, are due out in graphic novel form later this year.
