At the San Diego Comic-Con, IDW Publishing announced the November publication of the first issue of a ten-issue anthology comic book series created by Jennifer Love Hewitt, who is currently starring in CBS’ The Ghost WhispererJennifer Love Hewitt’s The Music Box centers around a malevolent music box and the strange effect it has on a succession of owner/victims.  Each issue is a standalone tale, but they are all tied together by the presence of the ancient, battered, and mysterious music box.

Scott Lobdell is writing the comic based on Hewitt’s Twilight Zone/Alfred Hitchcock Presents/Outer Limits-type conception, and each issue will feature a different artist whose style is in tune with the nature of the story.  The first issue, which debuts in November, features painted art by Michael Gaydos (Alias) with art in subsequent issues by Casey Maloney (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra), Adam Archer (Friday the 13th), and a special team-up of industry veterans George Tuska and Joe Rubenstein.
