Funimation is launching a new co-production initiative to acquire and develop a slate of original anime titles based on major intellectual properties.  It has hired Chris Moujaes, most recently President and Chief Creative Officer of Boomstar (see “4Kids Launches Rocket Monkeys”), as its new Director of Original Entertainment to focus on the project. 

Moujaes’ experience at Boomstar includes managing overseas production teams and marketing original IPs.
