The Right Stuf/Nozumi Entertainment has announced the October 5th release of Super Gals! Complete DVD Collection ($59.99).  Produced by Studio Pierrot and based on the shojo manga Gals! by Mihona Fuji (published here by CMX), the 52-episode Super Gals! anime series aired in Japan from 2001-2003.  The first 26-episode Super Gals! season was previously released by ADV in 2005, while the Right Stuf put out the second season in 2007, but this is the first time that the entire 1300-minute series has been made available in a single 10-disc set, which is now available at slightly more than the cost of one of the previously released single season sets.

Tsuneo Kobayashi (Emma: A Victorian Romance) directed Super Gals!, which details the fashion-conscious, platform shoe-wearing, materialistic, but attractive turn-of-the-century “kogal” culture of Tokyo’s Shibuya district.  The first 26 episodes include an English language dub, while the final 26 episodes are subtitled only.
