Scheduling conflicts have Bradley Cooper taking a pass on the remake of James O’Barr’s The Crow, which Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is set to direct.  Cooper is shooting David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook this fall and then takes on Legendary’s Paradise Lost during the first quarter of 2012, the exact time that Relativity Media wants to start shooting The Crow.

Just a few months ago Cooper appeared set for The Crow (see “Bradley Cooper in Talks for The Crow”) with shooting slated for later this year.  But then lawsuits slowed the production (see “Litigation Clouds the Crow”), and now Cooper is no longer in the picture.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, two actors “have surfaced as possible replacements: Channing Tatum and Mark Wahlberg.”  But Wahlberg just signed on for another comic book movie, Universal’s 2 Guns (see “Wahlberg Ready to Strap on ‘2 Guns’”), while Tatum is involved in making the G.I. Joe sequel, though that should be finished filming by the time that Relativity will have The Crow in production.  Relativity is very anxious to reboot The Crow franchise so stay tuned for further developments.
