Spike Lee’s remake of Chan-Wook Park’s Oldboy (see “Spike Lee to Direct ‘Oldboy’”) now has a star, according to Deadline. Josh Brolin will star in the film, which begins production in March. There is much rich material from which to draw. In addition to the Cannes Grand Jury Prize-winning film by Park, there’s also the manga on which the earlier film was based.
