A hearing will be held on January 30 on motions to dismiss the suit brought by DC Comics against a maker of replica Batmobiles, according to Bloomberg. The case that DC brought is now proceeding, in the wake of a ruling that the Batmobile can be copyrighted (see “Batmobile Can Be Copyrighted”). Some items, including that Gotham Garage made copies of the 1966 Batman TV Batmobile, were stipulated for the purposes of the motion to dismiss only.
