Danny Woodburn has been cast as Master Splinter in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, according to Deadline.  He joins Will Arnett, Megan Fox, and four relative unknowns in the title roles (see "Arnett in 'TMNT'").

Meanwhile, Alan Ritchson, the actor cast as Raphael, told Hollywood Reporter that sight-unseen criticisms of the film are unwarranted.  "The assumptions, everytnig you read online is wrong," he said.  "You want to tell everyone how great it is, and you can’t really say why, but it is.”  He was clearly pushing back on criticism of the script, especially a leaked version of an early draft (see "'Turtles' Movie Pushed Back to 2014").

The film will premiere in the U.S. on June 6, 2014.
