Casting for secondary roles in two small screen superhero dramas was announced Monday. Amanda Pays will play Dr. Tina McGee in CW’s The Flash, the role she played in the original 1990 one-season version of the show, according to Variety. This represents the second cast member of the original show to show up in the CW series; John Wesley Shipp, who played Barry Allen/The Flash in the original series, will play Barry Allen’s father in the new series (see "Comic TV Casting News"). Footage from the show has been getting good interest (see "Flash Confronts Weather Wizard in New Trailer").
Scott Glenn (Urban Cowboy) will play Matt Murdock’s sensei Stick in the new Daredevil series for Netflix, Marvel announced today. The cast is coming into shape; True Blood actress Deborah Ann Woll was cast as Murdock’s love interest (see "Small Screen Round-Up").
