Krysten Ritter will play the title role in Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones Netflix Series, Marvel has announced.
Ritter (Breaking Bad, Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23) will star in the 13-episode series as a former super hero with post-traumatic stress disorder who now runs her own detective agency. She was one of several actresses in the running (see "More Marvel TV Casting--'Jessica Jones' & 'Luke Cage'" and "Two More Actors on 'Jessica Jones' Shortlist").
Deadline, which originally broke the story, also said that Mike Colter (Million Dollar Baby, Men in Black 3) is "believed to be the choice" for the star of the Netflix Luke Cage series.
