Fantasy Flight Games announced a new edition of Tom Jolly’s classic dungeon board game Drakon, releasing in Q2. FFG last refreshed the game in 2006 (see "Fantasy Flight Games Announces 2006 Plans").
Players are adventurers who have been caught in the act of stealing from the dragon Drakon’s hoard. The bored dragon offers a way to escape becoming her lunch: be the first hero to gather ten gold pieces in her magical labyrinth to buy their way out. But the tile maze is ever-changing, and Drakon herself may steal a player’s gold (if other players don’t steal it first).
The box will contain 72 chamber tiles, 6 hero cards, 6 player aids, 28 coin tokens, 6 hero figures and one Drakon figure. The game is for 2-6 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 20 – 60 minutes. MSRP is $34.95.
