Konami’s latest Yu-Gi-Oh! release, The Secret Forces, has joined Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon on the growing list of collectible card game release dates broken by Target stores.

Richard Nelson of Fun 4 All Comics & Games in Ypsilanti, Michigan sent yet another example of Target breaking street dates on CCGs, in this case, a receipt dated February 12th for Yu-Gi-Oh! The Secret Forces.  Konami lists the official street date as February 13th on its website.

This is the third recent example of a release date breach on a CCG product by Target.  The first was on Magic:  The Gathering (see "Target Store Says 'Magic' Release Dates Don't Apply").  At the time, a spokesperson for Excell Marketing, L.C., merchandising manager for trading cards and impulse trend collectibles for Target’s retail locations nationwide, explained it as an "isolated incidence."

Nelson submitted this Pokemon purchase evidence last week (see "Richard Nelson of Fun 4 All Comics & Games on Target Breaking Release Dates").
