IDW Games will release Open Sesame, a new card game designed by Antoine Bauza (7 Wonders, Hanabi, Takenoko, Tokaido) and Corentin Lebrat, on June 30.
The press-your-luck card game is a new edition of Bauza and Lebrat’s 2012 game Ali. Players use memorization and deduction as they reenact the story of Ali Baba & the Forty Thieves, alternating between the role of Ali Baba or one of the thieves guarding the Cave of Treasures each round. The treasure hunter’s role is easy, as the thieves must repeat the cave’s inventory, and a growing catalogue of stolen items.
MSRP was not announced.
IDW Games also announced Godfather and Orphan Black game licenses this week (see "'The Godfather' Tabletop Games" and "IDW Announces 'Orphan Black' Tabletop Games").
